Hope you and your loved ones are in the best of your health. Rotary Club of Pune Smart City presents in their weekly meeting a discussion on “Current perspective of COVID” : ‘Should I vaccinate or should I not?’ The Speaker is Dr. Prachee Sathe M.D. Director, ICU, Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune Hon. Professor Dr. D.Y.Patil Medical College, Pune Consulting Physician, Pune

We are amazed and drowned in the second wave of covid-19 in India… not a wave it is like a tsunami…!! Why are we landing ourselves up in such a horrible situation ? What we can do to overcome this as fast as possible ? What is the status of infectivity of the virus at current times? Whether we should vaccinate ourselves or not ? Is vaccination going to help me or not ? Please listen to this discussion to try and find out answers… Should I vaccinate or Should I not ? Have we ever thought why the second wave is more dangerous? Why are more people getting infected? We know that the virus is highly infectious, However isn’t it true that we all were very careful during the first wave. We stayed at home. We wore our masks and we sanitised.

But today our attitude towards the virus has changed . We have become fearless. Don’t you think, we are responsible for what’s happening around us ? Israel is emerging into post pandemic life. This has been achieved only because the majority of people in Israel have got vaccinated. We Indians have a lot of doubts when it comes to covid vaccine — thanks to WhatsApp University. A lot of people are scared to get themselves vaccinated. I have come across people saying that “there is no covid virus and that the Government is playing tricks so that everyone gets vaccinated and they can make some profits” Are we dumb or are we acting dumb? It’s really shameful that we Punekars are the #1 for Covid infections.

Getting vaccinated is the only way to end the pandemic. Please watch Dr. Prachee Sathe’s video, where she has given us a complete guide on who should take the vaccination and who should not? It will clear all our doubts. We need to be aware and be informed about the facts. We need to be equipped to help the nation get rid of this pandemic and also be a catalyst to make this world a better place to live in. Really appreciate Rotary Club of Pune Smart City for taking initiative to arrange such a session. We can overcome this pandemic. Let’s contribute together by doing what we can and end it.
